Bike storage? I have a road bike that i am going to store away for a couple months because its winter. Whats the best way to store a bike without taking up much space? I think i might hang it with one of those hooks that clips on to the front tire. I don't have much space to work with so it needs to stay simple. Any suggestions are appreciated.

The only moisture it will get is humidity like everything else where we live (Western Washington). What are alternatives to shed storage other than inside? Anything? Is he just being stubborn and paranoid? Even a new plastic shed or wooden shed would still be subjected to the same conditions... The thing is he doesnt ride it, and has barely ever ridden it. Hes no Cyclist and thats what I dont understand. If hes going to be so over protective of a silly bike when hes not even into cycling I told him we should just sell it and get a cheaper bike... lol. Ugh I dont know what to do, we just dont have room to store it and more bikes inside.

Winter storage for my bike? Ok, so I had my bike in storage for the winter. Now the battery is dead this im ok with. the question is it was not on stands. It was just on the kickstand. The rear tire has maby 4000 miles on it. will I need to replace it? Best folding bike for storage in RV and use in campgrounds? I've looked online at Dahon and Trek, and our local cycle shops sell both but have nothing to try out. Just got my bike out of storage. Couple questions? I just got my bike out of storage, was planning on bringing it by the local shop for a spring tune-up. Dont know mnuch about bikes mechanically so heres my question. I started it up and a decent but not huge amount of smoke was comming out the pipes. I looked at the window/bubble where the oil goes and it was foggy and not like it normally looked. Does this mean I need to add more oil? How do i know how much to add? Would getting a fixed gear bike make me appear too trendy? First off, I hate trends. I've done my best to remain relatively original in whatever I do (if that makes sense). But, I'm moving cross country to college (SF to DC) and it would be difficult for me to take my 24 speed with me. Hi, I realize that at most college campuses, such as my own, it is restricted by local and national fire codes to store bicycles underneath stairwells as it is a potential obstruction. I'm wondering whether these laws would still apply if the University were to install bolted down bike storage pods so that in case of a fire, the bicycle has no way of obstructing the exit path of residents. I plan to submit this proposal to the school soon but would like to make sure the fire laws would permit it, from my searches I could not find anything specific to this issue. Can you recover excess and storage costs when your scooter has been stolen, damaged and recovered? Recovery was made by the police who told me they had sent it to this garage and had to wait for it to dry out before they did forensics, may be a few days because it happened on friday...then was told recovery cost is £150 + £25 every day it is there.
