How to hang a bike for storage?

What is the best way to hang a mountian bike for storage? By the front tire or the rear tire?...does it matter?

1. It doesn't matter. I hang all my bikes by the rear wheel because that's the easiest way to put it on the hook. Use the vinyl coated hooks so you don't scrape up the wheels.
2. either wheel can take it if you are hanging more than one bike you may want to alternate front and rear for adjacent bikes wle.
