Small apt, no bike storage. What rack will let me hang my bike vertically but not sticking out from the wall?
All I can find are the racks that have the bike sticking out from the wall, and I have no room for that. But I also need something that will be usable on a daily basis--I use my bike all the time.

- Haborfreight.com sells a Cycle Tree for $49.99 that takes four feet of floor space, has wheels and you can hang four bikes on it.
- I don't have the best idea about how you want to hang your bike but I have seen my LBS (Local Bike Shop) occasionally use large rubber coated hooks screwed into the wall or ceiling (into studs, of course) to hang the tire on, and thus the rest of the bike. Not sure exactly of their name (tried checking Home Depot's website) but the idea is that the hook is large enough and rubber coated to protect the rim of the bike, and if you wanted, you could place two hooks in your ceiling about two tires apart and hang your bike upside down from the hooks. This might be a little tougher if you don't have a road bike, but regardless you'll have it more out of the way than just laying against a closet or bed or something.
